MEAT PITMASTER RENEA CAROLINE
A passionate pitmaster, Renea Caroline has been a Kansas City BBQ Association certified judge and a member of the California BBQ Association since 2010. In 2022, she joined the Steak Cookout Association, continuing her dedication to the world of BBQ. Known as a community leader, Renea brings a unique spirit and expertise to everything BBQ.
Her love for cooking over fire started in 2010, and since then, she's turned this passion into purpose, competing and earning awards in categories like chicken, ribs, pork, brisket, steak, and beef tri-tip, with numerous 1st-place wins. Renea’s dedication to BBQ has also earned her an impressive 3rd place overall in the state of California for brisket—a true testament to her skill and commitment to her craft. She’s also proudly mentored her Jr. PitMaster, who held the 1st place title in California from 2017-2022.
Renea's commitment to the BBQ community goes beyond competitions. She recently founded Community BBQ, a nonprofit dedicated to spreading warmth and connection through BBQ. The organization promotes awareness of ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences), offering education on resilience and the importance of family bonds, all while celebrating the art of outdoor cooking.
Through Community BBQ, Renea continues to share her passion, building connections, and inspiring others—one flame at a time.
